Current position

Workshop Basics does not currently carry any advertising. There are no display adverts, no sponsored articles, no paid product placements and no advertising networks or trackers on the site. No manufacturer, retailer or brand has paid for or reviewed any guide before publication.

We do not accept free tools or equipment in exchange for coverage.

If this ever changes

If we ever decide to carry advertising or sponsorship, we will:

• update this page before any advertising appears, with the date of the change;
• label any advert or sponsored content clearly as advertising, separate from guide content;
• keep advertisers away from editorial decisions, as set out in our editorial policy;
• update our privacy and cookie policies if advertising involves any cookies or tracking, and ask for consent where the law requires it.
